The innovative medical procedure may help restore both the youthful contour and shape of the face as well as a marked improvement in skin quality, tightness and color irregularities caused by the aging process as well as exposure to the sun and environment without involving any surgery.

My Dawa – Kenya’s first online medical store, eCommerce website and wellness portal. The company has an inventory of wide range of high quality products in healthcare, beauty, child care & other wellness products.

OVERVIEW:

We received a requirement of a client to build the prescription drug home-delivery website & app. The concept of creating online pharmacy portals & website is not new actually. But, the purpose of developing it is an unique as it is one of its kind e-medicine portal allowing citizens to buy wide range of high quality medication and wellness products affordably and conveniently from your mobile phone. In addition features a unique track and trace mechanism that consumers can use to verify authenticity of products from source, while offering convenience and privacy to the consumer.

CHALLENGES:

As the country’s first online store My Dawa needed a website that would reinforce its position as an expert.

  • It needs a cost-effective website and marketing solution to connect with customers and grow its online presence.
  • The company needed the website to be both responsive for mobile and optimised for ecommerce to maximise online sales.

My Dawa joined Pixpert design team to redefine how consumers engage with their pharmacy. During the brain-storming sessions, the teams focused on making sure that every customer interaction with My Dawa—from signing up for the service online to using its product daily—was straightforward and reassuring.

So we set out to create a responsive website where patients can search for required medicines and purchase products in the most convenient and secure way possible, from the comfort of their Smartphone’s.

  1. The solution was delivered as a mobile app and a web portal which was intuitive, secure and healthcare industry compliant.
  2. The entire site is designed responsively with adaptations to the user journey across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. Our goal was to provide the optimum browsing experience while maintaining the primary features and site content regardless of form factor.
  3. Designers worked to refine the company’s brand vision, strategy, and identity across channels, and used this framework to completely redesign My Dawa website, as well as a private dashboard for customers and a suite of physical products.
  4. To accommodate My Dawa needs, we had to consider more than the visuals and frontend development and incorporated a series of plug-in and software tools into the backend enabling our developers and design team to effectively bridge the gap between a beautifully designed website with a clear UX, and flawless functionality.
  5. One of our key focuses was to make pricing far more transparent. The solution we developed gave customers an idea of pricing right from their first visit pre-registration which had a profound effect on registrations and sales.
  6. Effective Call-to-action elements like ‘Upload Prescription’ ‘ Authenticate Product’ and ‘Refill’ was placed in the homepage panel making sure customers shouldn’t be too concerned with searching around and can easily find the relevant tab as per the requirement to make the purchase.
  7. To make it easy for the customers we designed a single page checkout instead of further complicated steps. A user-focused design starts right when users add an item to the cart, with a right pullout displaying products with their pictures, checkout CTA, individual and total prices, and tab to avail coupons.
  8. An innovative payment gateway M-Pesa was integrated with the system for easy and quick transactions.
  9. Developed an android based mobile application which facilitates users to order medicines from their mobile devices by uploading their prescriptions and can read detailed drug description and its usage.
